We are delighted to invite you to an exhibition by painter Jiří Marek (*1991) entitled Palimpsest, which focuses on painting as a space for reflection on memory, time, and visual perception. In contrast to the transience of the digital world, the author maps the relationship between vision, experience, and their recording through layering and uncovering. His paintings do not tell a single story, but allow the layers of past and present meanings, which expose each other, to speak.
The exhibition is curated by Tomáš Knoflíček.
The opening will take place on Thursday, September 11, at 7 p.m.
The music duo Chryzotil271 will perform at the opening, followed by a DJ set by Leafur.
